a thought

Is it just me, or has Sarah Palin given more interviews in the past four days than she did during the whole campaign?

No, it's not just you. She's all over the place. I guess my "Go home, Sarah" mantra didn't get any traction :(.

It's not just you, Bill. She's the new media darling because the numb nuts that pass for journalists create stories instead of uncover them. I'm reminded of a speech by Edward R. Morrow about the dangers of news and entertainment blurring the boundaries between them. Ha was he ever right.

I feel that Palin was badly used by McCain handlers and she is a bit defensive and feels she needs to attempt to defend herself. Also, she has this misplaced confidence. She doesn't have a clue about the depth a person must have to take on the very complicated problems that presidents must face. Of course we are discussing a female version of the Shrub. So she'll be big news for another moment and then disappear.

On the other hand, if Ted Stevens happens to pull out a miracle in Alaska, Palin might wind up in DC as a senator.

Politics ---isn't it a grand pastime?

If you haven't already, you should start reading Mudflats (mudflats.wordpress.com) for analysis of Palin's future, the Stevens fiasco, etc. Very good writing, homespun Alaskan take on things.
